Fees and Payment: Insurance or Private Pay
Insurance can be confusing so I have listed some questions below that can help guide you to determine your benefits and coverage for mental health services. There is a list of the insurance plans that I am in network with toward the bottom of this page. I have also included information regarding the Good Faith Estimate- effective January 1, 2022, this applies to clients utilizing out-of-network benefits or private pay.

-It is your responsibility to know what your co-pay and/or deductible is and to make sure it is paid on time.

If you are not utilizing health insurance benefits or are utilizing private pay, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate. This is an estimated cost of services that you will receive from Lisa HK Counseling. Fees for services are also posted above.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
