About Me:
Hello! Thanks again for checking out my website. My pronouns are she/her/hers. My counseling style is down-to Earth, caring, non-judgmental, and supportive. I personalize the counseling experience based on each client's needs and strengths utilizing techniques from inference-based cognitive-behavioral therapy (I-CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), and self-compassion.
I have specialized training to provide counseling for folks with OCD and related disorders utilizing I-CBT, exposure and response prevention (ERP) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I am a BTTI (Behavior Therapy Training Institute) graduate. BTTIs are offered by the International OCD Foundation as 3-day intensive trainings to treat OCD.
I enjoy helping people identify strengths and challenge thought patterns that are limiting or unhealthy. I also enjoy helping people find ways to insert humor into their daily lives and reconnect with values that are most important. Life can be stressful or overwhelming and sometimes humor can help shift our perspective.
When I'm not in the office I enjoy going on adventures with my family, reading, eating tasty food, and enjoying nature.
